Morton neuroma may appear as an isolated single neuroma in 65% of cases or multiple neuromas in the remaining 35% of cases.

Third metatarsal space is the most frequently reported site (3 of 4 isolated neuromas occur in the third metatarsal space). In multiple neuromas, the third metatarsal space is involved in almost 100% of cases.
